Scottish

Based in Scotland 1976-2005 and exhibited widely in Scottish galleries, the artist's main studio was in the picturesque Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, West Lothian, where the lochside, canal and agricultural landscapes were repeatedly the focus of watercolour, oil and pastel works. The industrial and post-industrial landscapes of the Central Belt and Clydeside were a parallel fascination and appear in many of her 1970s-80s prints, predominantly complex etchings in rich dark towns. The Old and New Town architecture of Edinburgh appears to great effect in this medium as well as in large oils which emphasise open perspectives through the city.
